I love the brand MAC, is it no secret. When I was brain storming what posts to do next, I thought AH a MAC lipstick collection I must have about 5 now. When it came round to it and I had 7. I was a little surprised. When did I buy the other 2?! Anyhow. Let me introduce you to my little black bullets.
I have a mixture of the different finishes. Matte, Amplified, Frost and Lustre. I used to adore all the Matte finishes but I am slowly growing to prefer the Amplified finishes a much better pay off.
They all of course have the same MAC lipstick smell. Oh the vanilla. I love it.
So hard to get all the writing to line up. I tried... |
Viva La Glam VI - This is my only lustre in the group. When I got this I thought the colour pay off was very poor. Leaving only a slight tint on my lips but since using it more, I have grown to love this colour. Very wearable with most looks and I use this probably the most out of my collection.
Heroine - No idea why I brought this. But I did and I shall keep it forever and love all of its purpleness. Heroine has a matte finish to it, just in case you didn't know.
Russian Red - Ahhh good old fashion red. This is my now go to red if I am going out. It is a matte too but I do find the formulation on this is a tad more creamier than the other mattes in my collection.
Ruby Woo - Now when I say I have 7 in my collection, I actually have 8. But I have Ruby Woo twice. I love it that much. Well did. Russian Red killed my love for it a little. But I will use up both tubes, but it is the most gorgeous blue toned red I have ever seen. It is a little more drying that the other mattes in my collection but still totally workable.
Show Orchid - The new guy in my collection not even worn this yet. But I do think it looks like the most perfect pink ever. A very slight shimmer in it too. This is one of the very reasons why I am falling in love with the amplified finishes.
Girl About Town - I wore this to death when it was my birthday. Went so perfectly with my kimono. It is a touch darker than Show Orchid, which I think makes it a touch more wearable.
Angel - The one MAC lipstick I wish I never brought. I looks like a gorgeous nude with a slight pink hint to it. But when I wear it, it completely washes me out :( Need to try and find a way to wear this. Any ideas?
Do you have any of these in your collection?
I love how they smell too! It took me a while to try Mac lipsticks but now I really love them, their texture is perfect xx
ReplyDeleteI also have a slowly growing MAC lipstick collection and they're fabulous. The next on my wishlist is Russian Red...you haven't helped that at all xo
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I don't have any of these shades but I do fancy one of the reds, at the moment my small-ish collection (5) is mostly pinky shades x

Lovely collection! I have 4 Mac lipsticks altogether also in a variety of finishes and I too like the ones with better pigmentation such as the Amplified and Matte varieties. I think you have chosen a lovely variety of shades and I have to say that show orchid does look wonderful :)

I always end up with more mac lipsticks than I think I have, I can just never resist the temptation! Angel was the first mac lipstick I bought and I love it, although I do need to add lipgloss over the top to make it not wash me out x
