When I think of Joan Collins, I think of glam, old Hollywood and everything in between. So when her Timeless Beauty range was launched, to see the black packaging with gold writing to me screamed glam. Everything ranging from lipsticks to bath products, Joan has really got you covered when it comes to everything beauty related. I have been lucky enough to try a few of her products and to be fully honest, I was so excited! Stay tuned till the end too as there is a little something for you too!
Scrolling through my Instagram and Twitter, I had seen a few people talking about the I Am Woman Dry Oil Body Polish. Straight away I thought that looks like a good scrub, I love scrubs that are going to give me a real deep scrub, I don't want any of these that hardly take away any dry skin. This dry oil scrub is highly abrasive and so simple to use. After your bath and shower take a small handful of the scrub and in circular motions rub it into your skin. Straight away you are hit with the scent, I can't describe it; it just has a very luxurious scent to it. It sticks to your skin as well for around 2-3 hours after I could still smell it and I love it when product scents linger. The scrub is made up of Himalayan salt and kiwi seeds, they are a fantastic combination! I have now used this 4/5 times and I have noticed a massive difference on my elbows and knees since using this. At £18 I think this is brilliant value for money, the packaging is so elegant and it just looks really fancy if you ask me. A perfect Christmas present really for anyone who loves a good scrub!
Ever since I discovered MAC Fix+ I have loved fixing sprays, Urban Decay All Nighter is also a firm favourite of mine. But like any other self confessed beauty addict, you are always on the look out for the next favourite. I think out of all of the items that I have tried Ten Effects Skin Treat & Make-Up Fixer has to be my favourite. With ingredients such as rose water, mango and vitamin E of course we were onto a winner. So what are the ten effects I hear you ask, well they are;
- Super Hydrates
- Softens Skin
- Refines Wrinkles
- Minimises Pores
- pH Balancing
- Firms Skin
- Balances Tones
- Cools
- Calms
- Locks in make-up
I have been using this before applying my make up and once I have my full face on and seriously this is like a wonder product. My face feels softer almost instantly and one major difference I have seen is I am less oily than I used to be. Now now I know that the change in weather can effect this but come on guys I do think that Ten Effects has also had a major part to play in that! Locking in make up wise, it it certainly up there with UD All Nighter; this is a little cheaper than All Nighter at a steady £20. I use this almost every day and it still has loads of life left in it!
Lip glosses are my most favourite beauty products in the world as I am mostly a matte lip kinda gal, but saying that I am a super for a pretty pink in an even prettier packaging so who am I to not give this lip gloss a chance. Glorious Gloss in Piper is a dusky pink with a very slight shimmer throughout, a very stunning colour. The pay off a really good too better than I was expecting and it also lasts longer than I thought it would too, hardly any stickiness and it lasted me through a meal without looking awful after; this impressed me. I also love how this product is packaged in a matte black box with gold text and then the tube itself just looks like it is worth so much more than £18.
Compacts are a not only practical but can also make you feel super
fancy, especially when they are as beautifully packaged as this one. The Compact Duo is priced up at £34, but for a two in one I think this is a fair price to pay. Within the compact you get a full sized Divine Lipstick I received Marylin which is a perfect nude shade, but like the bad blogger I am, I forgot to take a photo of it; so keep a look out on my Instagram (@sianmariebeauty). The lipstick is super creamy, pretty much just glides onto your lips and lasts ages. If anything from this collection, I want more of the lipsticks! You also get a a smaller sized Meticulous Pressed Powder, this powder is wonderful; it fills in any fine lines, reduces shine and can even help even out your tone. The powder doesn't dry out your skin and really helps reduces the shine. What the people at Joan Collins have done is also made all the powers in these compacts neutral, so anyone can use it. Very clever thinking guys.
So I was lucky enough to receive an extra Compact Duo but this time the lipstick is in the shade Crystal a stunning red. So as a little treat to you guys I am giving this guy away. To win all you have to do is enter the Rafflecopter below and follow the rules. Good Luck!
