Hello there;
I am the first to admit I hardly wear lip gloss and because of this I hardly own any. But I want to start to wear them and love them. So when I was contacted asking to try out a Push Lip Gloss Quad £18, I was all over it.
I went for the Curves Ahead.
Firstly can we just make a quick note of the outer packaging and how much it looks like
MAC. That was my first thought the second I took it out of the parcel. I love how you can easily see all of the colours in this quad. Nothing I hate more is packaging that covers up the product inside.

Another similarity to MAC is that this has a slight vanilla smell to them. Not a bad thing at all, I love vanilla.
The glosses themselves glide onto the lips so easily. As you can see from the swatches, they are very pigmented, I especially love the purple colour, Too True. It has a very slight shimmer within it which gives it that extra something when you are wearing it. The lighter purple, Lip Gloss Lavender also has a very faint shimmer within it too. The pink, Cherryade is probably my least favourite out of this palette. I can't really put my finger on why but I just prefer the bolder colours at the moment. I blame Autumn. I am not one for a nude lip gloss either, even though I do like the look of the nude colour, Peached. Neither the pink or the nude has shimmer, so I think these make for better colours in the day time.
These are not overly sticky either, I tend to find lip glosses stick my lips together and if that happens you can guarantee I will throw the gloss away. But with these I have nearly had that problem. Obviously throughout the day they will need to be reapplied they are not that long lasting but I haven't found a lip gloss to date that sticks to my face all day.
Overall I do really like this quad, and I really wasn't expecting too as my expectations are set really high. But this cute little palette will be staying within my make up collection for a long while!
Have you tried Push Make Up before?!

This looks so groovy!
ReplyDeleteI've never even heard of the brand before, I'm going to go stalk them now
xxxxxxx
I love posts like this that introduce me to new brands I haven't heard of before! I think the glosses look lovely and pigmented, but I'm not sure I'd like using them in a palette. I'm so picky - I prefer mine to be in a tube! xo
ReplyDeleteThe shades are beautiful, especially the purple shade. It's so unusual and it looks gorgeous. This quad looks great! x

I've never heard of them before, but I love the idea of a lipgloss quad you could just throw into your handbag xx
ReplyDeleteThe vanilla scent sounds wonderful, and they are much more pigmented than I expected!

The shade Peach looks incredible, & I agree with it looking like mac; reminds me of the Maleficent collection
