I know I will probably get told off for this, but I used to go on the sun beds, a lot. Up to two times a week and sometimes 12 minutes at a time. Then I got a severer telling off from my mum, I knew I needed to stop but I enjoyed it too much. I hate being pale. After this telling off, I did stop so it was time to start using fake tan. I have used fake tan in the past, usually Fake Bake or St. Tropez. They are fantastic self tanners, I cannot take that away from them. But there is a cheeky little Irish company on the market that is taking their spotlight a tad. Cocoa Brown.
Cocoa Brown firstly are fantastic with interacting with their customers. I have many a conversation with them on Twitter. I knew I had to try their products just from them being so friendly. It was Marissa Carters aim to make a fake tan that dried fast, didn't have the typical fake tan smell and looked natural. Did she manage it though?!
Yes, I really am that pale.
Straight away, you can see the colour difference. Its a really natural looking tan. One of the first things I noticed from using this tan is how fast it dries! I am usually walking around the house naked for 10-15 minutes wafting my arms about like a mad woman. But no joke in less than 10 minutes this was dry and I was dressed.
Once your desired tan time is up, pop into the shower and let the water rinse off the excess. And this is the finally product. Lets just take a quick second to appreciate how natural it looks. No streaks, it covered my knobbly bits with no extra product gathered around the edges, I hate orange knees. And I know the next one is no use for you as we don't have smellovision, but it doesn't have the fake fan smell! It has a slight floral smell to it. Even more boyfriend commented on how nice it smelt, so it must be a good smell!
I really cannot recommend Cocoa Brown enough. I will never not use anything else now, their prices are fantastic. They are so customer focused and are now in most Superdrugs/Primarks around the UK. Oh and did I mention Millie Mackintosh is a fan too!
Have you tried Cocoa Brown before?!
I got this but accidentally got the dark one so a bit scared to try it out! Might just do my legs and see what happens :)

I'm not really into fake tanning because I've always been so scared of going orange, but this tan you have used looks so, so natural and I really like the sound of it! Maybe I'll have to brave it and give it a go! xo
ReplyDeleteOh wow it looks so natural. I don't use fake tan, but this looks amazing on you - and so cheap too xxx

The wife has some of this and I am not sure whether she has used it yet or not!
ReplyDeleteLove how we both mentioned how nice our boyfriends thought we smelled haha !! Obviously a bonus :p
ReplyDeleteI keep meaning to give this a go, when I was in school I constantly had streaky legs and smelled like digestives and I'd paid a fortune for the privilege, poor pale me! I wish this had been around then!
