FaceTheory Skincare*

Hello there;

EDIT: Foryou have now changed their name to Face Theory.

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Georgina from Face Theory Skincare, these are a new skincare brand to the market. Georgina asked me to do a weeks trail of the Oily/Combination range asking for my honest opinion on all of the four items. Of course I was all over this as I wish to irradiate the oil on my face. I was sent four sample tubs of the exfoliator, cleanser, toner and moisturiser.

E1 Exfoliator - Ive not used a lot of facial exfoliators in my time, but this was a real pleasure to use. The grains within the scrub are very fine, allowing really get down and dirty in my pores. Even after first use I noticed a difference in my skin after using this. My skin glowed a little more, it did a fantastic job of removing the dead skin on my face. Within this exfoliator two of the main ingredients is Salicylic Acid (BHA) this helps to resurfaces your skin keeping it bright and soft; and Willow Bark which helps unblock pores and also has cleansing properties to it. These are both amazing ingredients for your skin and my skin bloody loves them.

C2 Clearing Cleanser - This cleanser has been formulated to help oily skin, its has a very creamy texture to it. And it doesn't have a drying effect to it, which I have experienced in other cleansers. It's main ingredients are Silk, Avocado and Coconut these all work amazingly together to help remove make up and dirt. Upon using this I have noticed that it hardly takes any effort to remove my stubborn mascara that I wear for work (Maybelinne The Rocket). The Clearing Cleanser does leave my skin feeling very clean and soft especially when used with the exfoliator!

T1 Signature Toner - Out of all four products this was my favourite and also my biggest let down, but I will get to more of that in a minute. My skin really likes toners so this was a welcomed with open arms. It is a really pleasant toner to use I noticed that I was less red after using the exfoliant. One of the main ingredients within the toner is aloe, which is known for its calming properties; it defiantly works. The downside to this is it lasted me three uses. All of the other pots still have quite a bit left in them but this one ran out really fast. -insert crying emoji face-

M3 SuperGel Moisturiser - On first use of this I smelt the slight fruity fragrance, this moisturiser has passion fruit in it! Who knew it was an anti-inflammatory?! Me neither. I really liked this cream, it sunk into my skin really fast and left my face really soft. I have been experiencing dry patches around my mouth due to the cold weather and this has been doing a great job at keep it at bay. As well as passion fruit this moisturiser is packed with aloe vera, argon oil and zinc oxide for SPF. An all round fantastic moisturiser!

Now for the before and after photo.
In this photo I have no make up on. No filter was used. Please ignore my fat face. The only difference is the light. The before was taken in natural day light. The after was in artificial light, as the day I took this it was horrible and dark outside all day! So they aren't the best photos :(

Even though you can't really tell the biggest difference I found was the amount of redness I had in my cheeks in the before picture had pretty much gone in my after photo. Like I said before I have suffered with dry skin around my mouth and this does go right up to my cheeks. But with using the ForYou skin care system it has really calmed that down. Another difference I found was how soft my skin is. Obviously you cannot tell that through a photo nor can you feel my face, so you need to trust me on this one when I say my face is a hell of a lot smoother!

Overall I really enjoy using these four products, you can buy the little sample sets that I have used for £2 each, that is SO cheap. And you do get so much in the pots, just be wary of the toner but that might have been me being greedy. If you wanted the larger versions you are looking at paying between £15-20, I think this is a fair price to pay for skincare that really does work beautifully. Face Theory is going to be one of those skincare brands that I will do back to.  As I said at the top of the post, Face Theory  is a new brand to the beauty world, I cannot wait to see what they bring out next. Personally I am hoping for a face mask!

Would you try out Face Theory ?
