Hello there;
I have been doing Sian Marie Beauty for nearly a year and half now and it has been a struggling learning how to juggle blog work, actual work, house work, boyfriend and friends. Oh and including Sian time. When I look at all that even I wonder how I do it, but I do.
By my own admission I am not a very organised person in my day to day running of my life. Im quite a messy person. But when it comes to my blog, well I dunno it brings out the more organised side of me. I like things to be done a certain way and it has to be neat and tidy. Below are four of my own tips on how I keep organised and what tools I use to do this.
Notebooks - My god where would I be without my notebooks. I love jotting down ideas in my Personal Planners. I have two my Blog Ideas and then the pink one underneath is my diary. Admittedly I do not use my diary as much as I should but it has the key dates in there so I know what I am doing and when I am doing them. I adore my Personal Planners as they are 100% customisable you can add photos to them if you wish but I like them pink and basic. I am a massively into doing to do lists, so on my days off I have set things I want to get done. Usually I don't complete them but yano a girl tries!
MacBook - I adore my MacBook, it was the best thing I have ever brought. I have files all over the place on this but my blogging folder is so clearly marked out and labelled. Years, Month, Post Folders. Its literally that simple. Obviously without this tool I would struggle to even by making this post now.
iPhone - I am a complete Apple addict. So my iPhone is constantly by my side. If you are following me on Twitter you will know I recently dropped my phone and cracked the screen, resulting in also smashing my phone case. I was recently sent this gorgeous case* from iconemesis and it adore it. It is so sturdy a lot better quality to my last case. And as you can see from above makes a beautiful prop for my photos! I would highly recommend these cases. My phone is my back up for my MacBook, I have notes on it for when I get inspiration on the go. Also I have my social media accounts on here. I am forever tweeting, it is an addiction.
Buffer - If you don't know what Buffer is, please go to their website right now and you can thank me later. This website has changed my life when it comes to promoting my posts. It allows you post onto several different social media account all at once, freeing you up so much time. You place your posts into a schedule and just let it do its thing. Another amazing feature with it is the analytics. You can see how many people that one post has reached out too, how many times its been favourited, retweeted and also how many clicks you've had on the links. I find all of these fascinating as I like to see and know what people look for in a tweet for them to click onto a link. A very VERY useful tool for busy bloggers.
What tools do you use to keep you organised?

I completely agree, I would be lost without a notebook or two. - I loved your personalised one... I want one, I got a personalised diary but like you I'm kinda bad for using it.
ReplyDeleteI have a MacBook and iPhone and addicted to both of them, both are usually next to me, when my I turn my Mac off for the night my phone goes straight on.
The only thing I don't use is Buffer, heard soooooo much about it so I'l have to look into it.
