Hello there;
I was once one of the people who didn't see the point in a nude lip. My lips are already nude, why would I pay X amount of money for a lipstick to make my lips the same colour as they already are?
Well I can safely say I am now converted. Shy Girl has changed my opinion 100%!
I won Shy Girl in a giveaway a while back and honestly I threw it to one side thinking, nah ill never wear that. But then curiosity got the better of me. I tried it on. I fell in love.
Literally from first swipe I got it. I got the whole nude lip trend. And I am now kicking myself for not using this sooner. Shy Girl is a gorgeous nude with peach undertones leaving your lips looking fuller with a subtle hint of colour. Shy Girl is a Cremesheen finish which mean what it says on the can. A creamy texture with a shiny finish. On average Cremesheen lasts two hours before you need a top up. I fully agree with this, although with Shy Girl being a nude I do think you can go for a cheeky extra hour without anyone knowing.
What are your thoughts on Shy Girl?

I have Creme Cup which is a pinky nude but looking to get a different nude from MAC soon and this might be it, looks like a great shade. Need to remember to swatch it in store x

Shy Girl just does not suit my complexion at all! I'm not sure why, but we do not get on :( It's a shame as I had such high hopes for it, but I do love a nude lip too x

It looks really nice but I've had my eye on Creme Cup as I've heard it is more pink? Good post :)

Oooo what a pretty colour! I want to add more to my mac collection and I'm really tempted with a nude, maybe I'll have to go swatch this soon and make a purchase...maybe on our shopping trip?

I absolutely love Shy Girl, I've had it for years but I don't use it anywhere near enough. Off to get it out of my make up cave now ;)

I pretty much felt the same about nudes as you did and am slowly getting into them! I find it hard to find a nude that I do love on my lips but this shade does look lovely :) x

I actually wore a nude/pink lipstick today (who am I?!). I was actually only testing it out to make sure it suits me so I can wear it for a new head shot this weekend but actually I did like it. Although I did buy it myself (back towards when I first started blogging) I've never been a nude lip fan at all. I may have changed my mind slightly now but I can't see me buying any more, I think one nude-ish lipstick is enough! x

I really don't suit nude lipsticks :( I wish I did because I'm seriously lusting after Shy Girl!

Shy girl is such a gorgeous shade, I think I picked it up when it was part of a LE collection. I am obsessed with nude lipsticks and used to think exactly thee same thing but have come to love lighter shades, great review :)

ReplyDeleteShy Girl isn't a nude on my skin at all - it's a really pastel peach for me! Love it all the same :)
