After my recent trip to Birmingham to attend the Fabb Event, which you can read all about here. I was spoilt rotten by the wonderful people behind MeMeMe. One of the items that took my immediate interest was the Shimmer Stack.
I have never really been one for highlighters until a few months ago, so I really am new to this game. Upon opening this I can straight away say I am really impressed with the packaging that this comes in. I love the detail on the actual box, it make it looks very chic. There is nothing wrong with a plain black box, but I love the little added touch of a design on the front. The box is also very sturdy, no flimsy packaging here.
Inside there is a massive mirror too, which for any beauty enthusiast is a huge bonus. A girl can never have too many mirrors.
I simply adore the colours that are in the palette! Could you call it a palette? Box? Thing? Either way, they are gorgeous colours. Even though I am going to use this as a highlighter, these colours could easily be used as a eyeshadow. How travel friendly does one product want to be?
The colours on there own are so creamy as a lot more pigmented than I was expecting. The bottom colour is a little more shimmery than I would usually wear, but other than that the other colours have the slight shimmer that I am usually drawn too. If like me, you have already spotted that this is a pretty close dupe to the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Beige. I think the biggest difference are the prices where the Bobbi Brown retails for £32.50. The MeMeMe retails for £9.25. I have never used a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick, so sadly I cannot do a comparison. But from looking at photos, they look SO similar.
Above is the stack swatched by mixing up the colours. I adore the golden glow that this is able to give you. Its not a very over powering glow either, very subtle. It really lifts your cheek bones giving you an automatic face lift, without the pain. Bonus right?! All in all I am a huge fan of this shimmer stack and I am defiantly going to get the others in the set.
