L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection

Hello there;

For a while I have been watching and reading beauty blogs that all rave about Bioderma Cleansing Water. Now as much as I would love to try, my finances at this current moment just can't justify buying it. But don't worry it is on my wish list.

So when L'Oréal brought out their new Skin Perfection range, I was more than excited to try it. Especially when it was on offer for 2 for £6. I think they were £4 something originally. I can't find them on the Tesco website at the moment.

Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish

Hello there;

After work today I went up to the make-up section (always a bad idea for me) and came across this little bad boy for just £2.70 BARGAIN!

Rimmel's 60 Seconds nail polish in 503 Mind The Gap, Victoria.

Such a pretty bluey purple colour. I am really loving the pastel nail polish colours at the moment.

Sadly, I had to do 3 coats of this to get an even finish. The first coat was so wishy washy, it looked horrible. So gappy. I can never understand why they don't make nail polishes thick enough so one coat is just enough...... COME ON  GUYS SORT IT OUT!

Luckily it does what it says on the tin and dries really quickly, so I wasn't wait around for ages scared to touch stuff while my nails dried. Which pleased me.

Even with all that negativity up there, I would recommend this to anyone as its a great colour and in the end, my nails do look rather pretty >.<

Do you guys recommend any of the other colours?!

Let me know!

Jelly Pong Pong & Emite

Hello there;

Heres two more items from augusts Glossybox. Jelly Pong Pong eyeliner and Emite eyelash curlers.

What Jelly Pong Pong say;

The perfect mulit-tasker for travelling, this creamy 2-in-1 crayon can be used to line the eyes as well as smudged and blended eyeshadow. Line as closely as possible to the lash line as eyeliner or smudge outwards to use as an eyeshadow.

£10.50 for full size. www.jellypongpong.com

What I say;

Ill be honest, im not a massive fan of how chunky this is. I like my eyeliners to be slimmer so I can created a thicker line if I need it. But with this, it was a little harder to control as it is thicker to start. I know there is a point to it, but it was still hard to maintain that even line.

It did go on quite easily, not as creamy as I would have liked it, so I had to go over it again to get an even texture. Ive had it on now for a few hours and it hasn't smudged yet. So I will take that as an advantage to it. As no one want their make up falling off their face.

Now I haven't tried this as a eyeshadow but I had a little go on my hand (sorry forgot to take a photo of this) and it didn't smudge as easy as I expected either.

All in all I wouldn't rush out to repurchase this when it has all gone. But it will do for when I am in a rush and I just need to throw in an eyeliner in my make up bag.

Herbal Essences Bee Strong

Hello there;

In this post I am going to be reviewing Herbal Essences Bee Strong.

What Herbal Essences say;

Lay down damage with the Bee Strong nourishing shampoo. This formula works to repair the protective outer layer of each strand of hair to leave it strong against combing damage. You know the drill: Lift it, squeeze it, work it in. Do one more rep. Girl, you are looking strong

£2.25 200ml at Tesco.com

What I say;

Orginally I was drawn in by its lovely colour and the smell of it is AMAZING. It was on an introductory offer at Tesco when I brought it, only costing me £1. Bargain!

When I finally got round to using it, I was so surprised of the difference it made. My hair tends to dry out from shampoos really easily and I have to use loads of conditioner to get it feeling soft. But I find using this makes my hair feel soft already and I only need a tiny bit of conditioner just to maintain that softness. (Up to yet I have used an Aussie 3 minute Miracle Conditioner with it)

The smell lingers on your hair for ages after washing too. Which to me is a massive bonus as I love my hair smelling yummy! I would recommend this to my friends and anyone who is looking for a cheapish shampoo that leaves your hair in a lovely condition.

I have brought the conditioner to go with it; but I am yet to try that out. But as soon as I do I will review that too :)

Please let me know if agree or disagree!

Océane Make Up Remover Pen

Hello there;

The first one I am testing out of Glossybox's August box is the Océane Essential MakeUp Remover Pen.

What Océane say;

This pen delivers the mobile, mess - and fuss - free make-up touch-up/removal solution we have always wanted when stuck on planes, trains and automobiles.
Shake before removal of excess makeup around your eyes, lips and those corners that smear every time you apply makeup.

Not currently for sale in the UK. And I cannot find a price for it. But once I know I shall update this.

What I think;

Its really handy to throw in your makeup bag and the bright pink end makes it stand out really easily.
I did a swatch on my hand of an eyeliner, as I will probably use this the most to correct them annoying eyeliner mistakes. And it did remove the eyeliner rather well. But it did smudge a little. So I had to chase it round my hand a little. Which I do not think will be good if you are trying to correct eye make up. But maybe as a quick win this will do.

What I did notice is that which the black eyeliner is has dyed the end of the nip black, so if you wanted to remove a lighter colour, the black would over power this. But thankfully it comes with a double sided nib, and 3 refills.

It also has quite a distinctive smell that I am not keen on. And I am not very good with smells. So I do not think I could use a lot of this on my skin as it lingers on your skin.

I don't think I would purchase this when it finally arrives in the UK. But ill give it is fair chance in my day to day make up routine.

Who inspire me.

Hello there;

There are certain people on this massive place we call the world wide web, and these are the people who inspire me to make this blog and help people who are interested.

So the following are the people who I look up too (be warned there are a few :p )

Zoella

I have been watching Zoe now on youtube for a few months, and I love her style, her hair and just her in general. She is so beautiful and I have massive hair envy....

If you wish to view her videos her YT link is here. Go subscribe to her. You will not be disappointed.

Louise

Same with Zoe, I have been watching Louise for a few months too. I love her style as she is not your typical size 0 role model. She embraces her curves and looks bloody fantastic while doing it. She is also a mother and baby glitter (or Darcy to you who don't know her) is one of the cutest kids ever.

If you want to watch Louise's YT here is the link

Bicky

Here is Bicky, and I have known her over the WWW, for YEARS! All the way from Myspace days. Which feel like a lifetime ago. I adore her blog which is Tastes Like Glitter. Bicky is one of them people who I just get on with and I respect. She is there for me when I have an issues with make up. I hope you don't mind me adding you on here hehe :)

And I can't wait to discuss our next Glossybox!

So they are just a few of the people who I look up to in this world of make-up. I hope you enjoy looking at their blogs and YT channels!

The first, important post.

Hello there;

I am the new girl on the block. Wanting to show my views on different aspects of beauty, hair care, general life etc....

I understand that there are plenty of other people on here who do this. And I am not saying I will be fantastic. But its a little hobby I want to develop as my love for make-up develops more.

All I am is a 24 year old girl, wanting to help her friends and others with affordable items.

With my busy work schedules, these post may be a little erratic but I shall try my best to keep this as up to date as possible.

Right, lets try and get my blog looking pretty.

See you around
