Source

What happened in May;

- I REACHED 900 FOLLOWERS WOOHOOOOO! I know I said it on twitter but again, thank you so much for following me on here and all of the support that I got last month. When I reach 1000 followers I will be doing my next giveaway so keep a look out for that in the up coming months.

- After I had my unexpected break on here, I realised that this isn't a be all and end all of my life. If you haven't already noticed I am not as strict on myself for getting a post up every other day. I'm enjoying my more relaxing approach to my blog now making it much more enjoyable.

- Babysitting my little puppy dog for a few days

- Bloggers meet up in Sheffield and seeing ALL my girls for the first time in November last year :D

- Day in London with the wife

I am a little busy in June but I can't wait :D Its gonna be an amazing month.

Acne Ultra Clear*

Hello there;

I was recently contact to try out a acne face cream. Personally I do not suffer with acne, never have but the company still wanted me to test our the All natural herbal face cream and post my results nonetheless.

I was sent 6 of these pots, as you can imagine I was shocked to have 6! Not going to be running out soon. The pots I received are all plain white with the information on the lid. Very simple. I know the pots that come if you were to buy them are a lot more funky! The cream itself is a lovely consistency, not overly thick so it takes a week to sink in but not too runny so you have to chase it all over your face. For me, it was the perfect consistency. It took around 10 minutes for it to full sink into my skin, which I do not mind as I like to apply a good amount knowing my skin will thank me for it later.

Left: Before
Right: After

As you can see from my photos I was VERY red in the before, I do suffer with this a lot; wish I knew why. But in the after photo (roughly a month apart) the red has pretty much disappeared. The Acne Ultra Clear cream really helped calm my skin down. It felt a lot more hydrated, make up sat better on my face and it just looked better in general. The only thing I don't like about this cream is the smell. With it being a all natural herbal cream, its scent it quite strong. It does fade quite fast upon application so it was bearable.

Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed using this cream, bar the smell it has done wonders to my skin a real saviour. If you would like to buy your own tub its cost £12.95 or for any more information click here!

Selfridges Haul

Hello there;

How could I not share these three items with you?
Yes, the phrase "the blogs made me buy it" comes to mind, but it that really a bad thing? No I don't think so either. Firstly I need to say how impressed I was with the dispatch time with this order. I ordered it around 4pm on a Tuesday, half 10 that night I have a text saying it had been dispatched. Two days later I have my little box in my clutches dashing home to open it up and see the infamous yellow box.

Since I first laid my eyes on Charlotte Tilbury's Bronze & Glow I knew I needed it in my collection. Not only for the gorgeous packaging, but for the beautiful bronzer and highlighter inside. Also from Charlotte Tilbury I have been lusting over the Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk for as long as I can remember. I will be doing full reviews of these all in due time.

Lastly is my first ever Nars purchase. I know I have been around now for 18 months and yes I am ashamed that this is my first Nars product, but surely you can forgive me as I made it a good first buy right?! Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl I needed a 56543 read lip stick obviously.

I don't want to do too much in-depth review in this post as honestly I haven't even touched them yet, so I have no idea what they are like. They are all too pretty to touch.

Have you been lusting after anything from Selfridges lately?!

20 Things I Would Tell My Younger Self

Hello there;

I am fast approaching 26... Oh how it pains me to say that. But I am, I cannot escape it, so here are a few snippets of what I would tell myself now if I could go back in time.

  1. School was hard, but you do make it out alive. Just don't rebel in year 11 you will regret that.
  2. 6th form was a waste of time. Go straight to college, its an amazing place and you'll meet some wonderful people.
  3. Prom was amazing, you'll make promises to stay in contact with all of your friends. 10 years later you still talk to 3? Maybe 4?
  4. MySpace will take over your life. HopSkipMosh if you remember this user name HIYA.
  5. Being in a band is fun. Still can't play bass though. At least I tried right?
  6. Tying to eat and swallow a coat hanger was never going to end well. I was only like 4 though.. still don't try it?
  7. Don't ever give up horse riding. You will always love it and boys are not worth giving it up for.
  8. No your childhood pet goldfish didn't live for 12 years. Your mum replaced him. Twice.
  9. Your family are incredible. It just takes you a few years to realise it.
  10. Friends come and go but the best really do stick by your side.
  11. You'll meet your soul mate at the age of 20. Can't even imagine life without Charlotte Boylett now.
  12. You found out he cheated, LEAVE HIM there and then. Don't waste another 2 years with him. It will ruin you. You are worth a lot more than that, I promise.
  13. You meet him in Black Market when you are 16. There is a spark straight away. You get together at the age of 20. He changes your life forever and its been over 5 years now, still going strong.
  14. PUT THAT PIZZA DOWN, you will not stay at 8 stone forever. 25 year old Sian will thank you.
  15. Blonde hair looks good, but look after it.
  16. Learn how to do your makeup, Dream Matte Mousse is not a good foundation at all. Covering your eyes in black eyeliner isn't a good look either. See photo below.
    Picture to the left I am about 18?
    Picture to the right I am 25, sorry about the posing photo!
  17. Maybe don't settle for your first job? Travel? Take risks? Who knows where life could take you.
  18. Take lots of photos.
  19. Blogging opens up a whole new world. The friends you make, the opportunities you will get makes all of the hard work worth it.
  20. Moving out is very hard, you will miss your mum more than you thought possible. But it gets better and I love living with my boyfriend.
  21. Cheeky little extra one. But Sian trust me, you will end up doing okay. I promise.

What would you say to your younger self?!

Big Hair Don't Care

Hello there;

I dyed my hair blonde for around 6 years straight and since going back dark 2 years ago, my hair has never been in great condition. Its a little lifeless really. I am now on a life long aim to keep my hair in the best possible condition. Keeping it thick, volumeised and healthy. To do that I am currently using the following products.

L'Oreal Elvive Firbrology have recently been launched and if I am honest, I don't think they have been spoken about enough. My hair is very fine and is in dire need of a lift, since using these two I have noticed a massive difference in my hair. If I leave it to air dry they don't work to the best of of their abilities, but blow dry it and well bugger me. My hair feels so much thicker. When using the shampoo I like to leave it on for a good 5 minutes making sure I massage it well into my roots, paying a lot of attention to my crown. Then the conditioner I use on my ends, I have found that this can sometimes be a little heavy on my roots leaving them to get greasy fast. Overall though I am a massive lover of these two.

Next up is my Lush duo that again I am obsessing over. I recently brought Big Shampoo and Sea Spray Hair Mist in a little haul post I did, you can read that here. A little like Fibrology, Big Shampoo gives a lot of volume to your hair, sea salt is known for adding a lot of volume to your hair and the extra ingredients coconut oil and seaweed gives your hair softness and shine. May I add on that Big smells incredible. The Sea Salt spray a lot like other sea salt sprays, I use after I have detangled my hair and spray it directly to my roots before I blow dry it. The results have been incredible. I have used this to add a more "beachy" look to my hair, this does add a slight residue to my hair but its not unworkable. 100% worth investing in if you are looking for a product to add volume directly to the roots.

Next up is the Color Wow Raise The Roof* this stuff well no words. I use this before a night out, as the volume it adds is out of this world. Like the Sea Salt spray, I detangle my hair and play this directly on my roots. It has a very salon like scent to it and feels weightless when applied to your hair. When I use his I like to blow dry my hair upside down to get maximum lift and trust me, this guy works!

Wonder what will work best for you? I have recently been sent this little info card, which I feel will help a lot of people.

Hello there;

The lovely Gemma from Gemms Beauty tweeted me a few weeks back asking if I would like to go along to the Nottingham branch of Crabtree & Evelyn for an evening event. I couldn't say no purely because I own a couple of Crabtree & Evelyn hand creams and I adore them.
