BRB

On Saturday I am jetting off to sunny Spain for a week with my best friend and her family. Well my 2nd family. I cannot wait for a break from real life and just lay on the beach, reading a good book and drinking copious amount of cocktails.

So Sian Marie Beauty is going on a holiday also! I will be resuming back to normal proceedings, once I am tanned goddess -LOL-

See you soon - xo

August 2015 BirchBox - #BeautyJunkie

BirchBox August 2015 #BeautyJunkie - Sian Marie Beauty

How cute is this months BirchBox. I am avid user of emojis so this box design is right up my street. I think I would go to the extreme to say this is my favourite box design ever. What makes it even better is this months box comes with stickers! I love stickers and since getting my new Ban.do diary I have been using stickers to make it more fun. So these will 100% be being used to keep it fun and bright.

BirchBox August 2015 #BeautyJunkie - Sian Marie Beauty

Rituals Fortune Scrub | £10 - I am having a scrub overload recently. Buying them and receiving them at any given point. Not that I am complaining, I adore a good scrub and this Rituals one smells amazing. Can't wait to slather this all over my body!

Huygens Exfoliating Cream | £17.90 - Not loving the smell of this guy if I am honest. But if it does a good enough job exfoliating my face, I may just be able to put up with it. Its a good sample size pot though, would be perfect to travel with.

Kebelo Clarifying Shampoo | £13.95 - Since my Fudge clarifying shampoo ran out Ive not repurchased it or tried a new one. I keep forgetting to pick one up, so this is very much welcomed into my collection. Smells very spa like and I have high hopes for it.

Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Supreme Mascara | £19.50 - Could a mascara have a longer name?! I am loving the fact that this in this months box! I am a self confessed mascara junkie, so I am SO excited to use this and see if its worth the quite hefty price tag.

L. Erikson Grab & Go Ponytail Holder | £11.50 - I have really fine hair and personally this bobble is a little to thick for my hair. But I like the concept around these metal free bobbles that won't snag your hair.

Lord & Berry Blush "Lotus" | £17 - I know this is a blush and I am sure it will make a gorgeous blush, but I can't help but look at this and think "you will look amazing in my crease" now if you don't know what I mean by that, then go home ;) This blush is super creamy and it leaves the most gorgeous reddy brown colour. I am going to get a lot of use outta this guy.

I am loving the contents of this months box, a wide range of products which I will use. Bar the face exfoliant but who knows I may end up loving it!

What did you think of this months BirchBox?!

August 2015 Empties

Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff | £5.99 - This scrub not only lasted me ages but was also amazing. For £6 it is more than affordable. I am a massive lover of Cocoa Brown as a whole and this product is one of my fave products from the line. I will 100% repurchase this when I am narrowed my scrubs down.

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Age Support Cream | £42 - I received this sample a while ago and ill be honest I didn't use it constantly to notice any effects really. But it was a nice moisturiser and if it wasn't for the massive price tag I would have considered giving it a proper go.

Faith in Nature Coconut Shower Gel & Foam Bath | £5.60 - I used this as a bath foam as I thought it would be really coconutty. It wasn't and it hardly made bubbles. Maybe it would have made a better shower gel but ill never know now.

Simple Oil Balancing Cleansing Wipes | £3.29 - Two more packs bite the dust. Nothing else to report of these.

Cyanide Pill | Lush Oxford Street Exclusive - This smelt amazing. But made my bath the same colour as wee. That put me off slightly but the water smelt good and left my skin feeling lovely.

May Day | Lush Oxford Street - Hated the smell of this, hated the bath I had. The proceeds go to a good cause but no, I am not a massive fan of aniseed. Wouldn't buy this again.

Leo Bancroft Ultimately Intense Deep Moisture Mask | £1.00 - I am currently on a massive get my hair to a decent state, state of mind. Its battered. This mask did wonders to my hair and for only £1 I will certainly be stocking up on these when I next see them in my local Tesco.

Sanex Dermo Extra Control | £1.89 - Standard roll on, smells fresh. Kept my underarms dry. What more could you want from a deodorant.

Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo | £2.99 - I adore the scent of this. So fresh and reminds me of holidays. I adore Batiste so I will have this again in my stash soon.

Pure & Light Organic Essential Floral Toner | £19 - How often do people finish toners? I don't think I have ever seen one in someones empties? Well not one that I can remember. This toner was really refreshing, left my skin feeling soft.

What have you used up recently?!

Keeping My Skin Soft

I hate moisturising after the bath/shower until I find this combination. The Beauty Kitchen Inspire Me Brightening & Toning Body Polish* is fast becoming my most favourite scrubs! It contains so many minerals and oils that help your skin detox and exfoliate. I prefer to use this in the shower opposed to using it on dry skin. In small circular motions I go about my body giving it a bloody good scrub. When I first opened the jar it was VERY lemon grassy, now this isn't my all time favourite scent ill be honest, but upon using it in the shower it isn't as overpowering as I thought it would be. The pink salt grains are perfect for giving your skin a gentle scrub, not too abrasive. Since using this I have noticed a difference on my arms the most as I tend to suffer from dry skin on my under upper arm, the dry skin has reduced quite a lot. Not only do I like the product but the kilner jar is comes in is gorgeous, air tight to keep the product fresh and I will be totally reusing it once the product has all gone. I think it will be the right size to keep cotton pads in. You can pick up this little beauty from selected Holland & Barrett stores or from here

Once I am all scrubbed, washed and dried next on the list is to keep myself moisturised and I have fell head over heels in love with the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Butter Cream. Who doesn't want to walk around smelling of limes?! I have always been a fan on the Soap & Glory body butters, Righteous Butter is and will always be up there at the top with my favourites. But as it is summer and the thought of feeling a little more fresh and citrusy just makes this cream even better. With the mixture of the scrub and this body butter not only does my skin smell AMAZING but it also feels amazing. Definitely a duo I am going to be using for a long time.

Have you tried either of these products?!

Taking Time Out For Me

Taking Time Out For Me - Sian Marie Beauty

You may have noticed recently that I haven't been posting as often as I used too. I am not here to apologise, I have been quite poorly with a summer cold. So all I have wanted to do when I come home from work is chill out. Not panicking myself that I haven't written this weeks posts. Which I am sure you guys can understand. But how do I chill out!?

The obvious that isn't pictured above is a bath, nothing I love more than a Lush filled bath and reading a good book. My current read is Giovanna Fletcher's 3rd book, Dream a little Dream. I adore how Giovanna writes her books, they are so easy reading and really suck you in. Before you know it you have been in the bath for almost an hour and your feet are literally prunes. Once I am out of the bath I like to apply a face mask, I am currently obsessing over the Balance Me Radiance Face Mask* it is a triple action mask; giving your skin a deep cleanse, exfoliates with the little beads and finally brightening dull skin. I can really noticed a different in my skin after I use this it feel super soft! The last part of my little after bath pamper is applying a generous layer of Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm, as you will be aware I am a avid lip balm user and this little pot of magic is my all time favourite.

Now I am all pampered and with a clean pair of PJs on comes the next part of my me time. Candy Crush Soda has been a firm favourite of mine for a long while, I like to just shut off from the world and attempt to do a couple of levels if I am not stuck on one. I am currently waiting for an update so I can move onto the new levels. Yes I am that far in front with it. Lastly is my all time favourite thing to do at the moment. My best friend brought me the Secret Garden colouring book for my birthday, I love all of the intricate designs and how there are items to find throughout the book. The only downside to this book is it is already too pretty to colour in, I do hope I do it justice.

What are your favourite things to do when you need some "me time"?!

Makeup Revolution Contour Palette*

When I saw that Makeup Revolution were bringing out a contour palette, well my ears pricked up. My Benefit Hoola is on its way out and I was wondering where to go next and to my surprise I came home from work one day and this lil guy was sat by my backdoor. So thank you Makeup Revolution :)! This palette is made up of the typical black plastic with a rose gold text and a massive mirror, nothing overly fancy but I do love the Makeup Revolution packaging. Its simple, its clean. Inside it is made up of 8 different shades.

The top row consists of a setting powder that is more on the pinky side and next to it is what I would call a dupe for the Ben Nye Banana powder with its yellow tones. These two are going to work wonders for me when I make mistakes from my contouring, I sometimes get a little sloppy. The third one in on the top has a very slight shimmer to it, I would use this for a very subtle highlight; maybe use this for strobing? Not that I am a massive fan on that craze.

On the bottom row there is the three contouring shades, a red toned, a cool toned and a warm toned shades. Well I think that is what they are, do I sound like I know what I am on about if I put it like that? Anyhow, I will get the most use from the first two shades on the bottom row. The third one is a touch too dark for me, maybe if I have a dark tan this will become more handy for myself.

Lastly are the two end shades, the two highlighters. The highlighter on the top row is literally stunning if you want a very glowy look. Perfect for a night out when you want to look radiant. The other one is a muted highlight that I think I would use on a more day to day look. Its not over the top its just perfect for that little added extra to your makeup look.

As always these powders are super creamy and blendable, I have never been let down by a Makeup Revolution palette. For £8 as well it is a bargain of a palette, if you wanted to purchase your own click here.
