Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection - 300 Tapered Blush Brush

Hello there;

I am a sucker for rose gold. I am a sucker for a newly released products. So purchasing the Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection Tapered Blush Brush was bound to happen at some point. How could I resist it?! I couldn't.

Right lets start off with how beautiful this is. It is one of the most aesthetically pleasing brushes I have ever seen in my life. With the diamond shaped handle to stop the brush rolling away and with the rose gold going up into the bristles with an ombre effect.

The bristles are super soft, I always thought the normal Real Technique brush were soft but these surpass that by a long shot. You can really tell why these are the most luxe brushes they have made. The handle is slightly weighted making it easier to apply the product to your face. But can you tell? I have the original blush brush from Real Techniques and this has been a firm favourite of mine for a long while now. I still prefer to use that over this for applying my blush. I like how big it is. I prefer using my Bold Metals for either highlight or light contouring. The brush is slightly pointed at the end meaning I can really concentrate on the high points of my cheeks or the hollows of my cheeks. With the sides of the brush being flat, I use that to bronze up my temples and my jaw line.

Are these worth £20+? Well that is personal preference. I know there are a lot of people out there who think that these are over priced and not worth the money. This blush brush is £24. Myself personally, I do think these are worth the money. I adore Real Techniques they make such amazing brushes and I know this guy is going to used a lot. Also looked after right they will last a long while too. I see the £24 price tag as an investment.

What do you make of the Bold Metals collection?

  4. Obviously when I first laid eyes on these I wanted them, but then I saw the price! Then I saw quite a few bad reviews for various different brushes in the collection, so I'm not sure if I would risk paying that much now for a brush that might not be that great x

  5. I couldn't agree with you more on the fact that they are such beautiful brushes but I decided to treat myself to a few Zoeva brushes instead when these came out, I've actually got one that looks super similar to this one. For the price I would love to be able t feel the brushes and get a bit of a service like you would in MAC or other higher end beauty stores

  6. This brush looks stunning, I have to agree it’s definitely one to stand out amongst the collection. This was the second brush from the collection I waned to try because I love how tapered and small the brush is which I imagine would be perfect for blusher. Fab review :)

  9. They do look incredible, they've definitely got the high-end look spot on. But I can't justify £20 for a single brush. I'm gonna spend £60 on the new Zoeva vol 2 Rose Gold brushes when payday comes on Thursday, but that comes with 8 brushes and a bag!

  12. You've made a really good point there that I hadn't really thought about before and that is that these brushes are more of an investment purchase. I thought they were really quite expensive when they first came out but thinking about the amount of use you get out of them and how long they'll last, it's really not that expensive at all! xo

  13. I need to invest in these, I suppose with this spending ban I'm putting myself on I'll be able to buy them by July with all the money I will have saved.
