Sleek Precious Metals Review

Hello there;

Now I know I made a massive fuss over theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer, read my full review here.
And I still do love that highlighter, but I am currently thoroughly loving using the Sleek Precious Metal Highlighting Palette.

When I went to a blogger meet up last year, this has just been released and I was desperate to get my hands on it. Dragging the girls all around Birmingham to try and find it, but it never happened. When Christmas came round though, my little jelly tot Charli had brought it me!

I love how chic and Sleek (wink wink) this palette is. For £10 I think this is fantastic value for money it looks a lot more expensive than it actually is. Was I the only one who was a little disappointed though when you opened it up and it didn't have the same pattern that was on the box? Not that this makes any difference I am just wondered if it was me or not!

This palette comes with a decent sized mirror, a little brush and 3 cream highlights and a powder highlight.

L-R
Platinum, Renaissance Gold, Royal Gold and Antique Bronze
Platinum; a pearly white cream highlight which is perfect for highlighting the brow bone and placing on the inner corner of the eye to brighten up any eye makeup look.

Renaissance Gold; ROSE GOLD ALERT ROSE GOLD ALERT. I really didn't want to use this one as it looks too pretty to use. I don't actually use this one as a highlight, I use it as a eyeshadow base. It is creates a flawless base for my eye shadows.

Royal Gold; This is slightly more goldy rose gold with larger flecks of glitter in. Out of the palette this is the one most similar to my Mary-Lou Manizer, which obviously means I love using this as my cheekbone highlight. Its a touch more muted than Mary-Lou, I think Royal Gold is better for a more day to day highlight.

Antique Bronze; The powder of the quad and probably the one I least like. Its a little too dark for me to use for anything else than a eyeshadow.

Overall this palette is very versatile and multi use, a great travel companion.

  1. I have seen this palette a few times when I have been in Boots and I have thought about buying it. However I wasn't sure if it was for me or how exactly I would use it. Reading about how you personally use it I can see that it is one of those multi-tasking products and I am a big fan of those and the price is just so good. I may pick this up next time that I'm in Boots.

  10. This does look like a beautiful palette but when I swatched it in store it was just a tad too shimmery for my skin. Total bargain though x
